As I progress into my third decade, I find myself more interested in things civic:

The local DOT with its scheduling of city road construction. The downtown area and the exciting projects taking off to bring development to our city. The damn trains shutting down major intersections during rush hour.

It's probably a good thing younger folks don't get as involved. It's only been just recently, and begrudgingly, that I conceded trains provide a needed economic service and thus I shouldn't...

Good Luck Fargo, I'm Legal Now
I was standing in the line at the dmv and this lady came in, an older lady, stood there for only 30 seconds before twitching and huffing and puffing with impatience. Five minutes of this and she says, "Why don't they hire more people?"

I've moved to Fargo. Still in a 2-bedroom, but more square feet and just generally lighter and brighter.

I've started a new job. I love waitressing but I need to make some real money with real benefits. Put in some overtime.

I've had a bit of a crisis at the end of July beginning of August. Found out who some people are. Let your life go to hell and watch the people around you scatter like cockroaches. This is not a bad thing. Got rid of some baggage that way. Stopped caring about...

Random thoughts...

How many soldiers are there in the world? Soldiers serving governments, not just little militias. And I wonder of this number what percentage of these soldiers are serving voluntarilary as opposed to compulsory. Then I muse...of the UN Peacekeepers available for the various conflicts around our globe, what percent are soldiers serving voluntarily, assisting in conflicts in an area where service to government is compulsive?
