My everyday search for happiness
Published on October 16, 2006 By xtine In Life Journals
I've moved to Fargo. Still in a 2-bedroom, but more square feet and just generally lighter and brighter.

I've started a new job. I love waitressing but I need to make some real money with real benefits. Put in some overtime.

I've had a bit of a crisis at the end of July beginning of August. Found out who some people are. Let your life go to hell and watch the people around you scatter like cockroaches. This is not a bad thing. Got rid of some baggage that way. Stopped caring about being polite to these people anymore. More time and energy for the people in my life who DO matter.

Got a cat. Her name is tTyki, pronounced Tiki. It's an anagram of Kitty. I couldn't be anymore creative than that, although after seeing her stand up to a rather large pit-bull, I've considered changing her name to Scooby Snack.

My daughter became a teenager today. Yeah.

I've been wondering if it's possible to track every single flying object within our airspace. You'd think with the computers we have these days it shouldn't be such a huge deal.

Went and saw Man of the Year starring Robin Williams. Good enough movie; had a few laughs.

Ushered at a couple of community theater productions. Got to see "Don't Hug Me" (bad) and the Roger Maris story (very, very good). I never really understood the passionate hatred for the Yankees before, but now I join the ranks. Not hating so much the team, but the fans. Very VERY poor sportmanship that a group of people rooting on a team would boo anyone, ANYONE, for doing a good job. And Maris was even on THEIR team!!! Down with the Yankees. May they lose every game they ever play ever again.

tTyki plays fetch.

Just finished reading Doug Coupland's "JPod." Eh. It was ok. I finished it anyways. I wouldn't re-read it though. Had a B-day a week ago. Did a little scrapbooking shopping. Sampled a new liqueur: Chambord Liqueur Royale De France. Yum. Got my son a pumpkin outfit for halloween. Went to a slew of hometown baseball games and one hometown football game.

Good 'nuff. That's where the hell I've been!

Is tTyki going to write some?  Seems Henry, Dharma's dog has a fan club of cats.  Namely, Socrates, Sally and Pumpkin who have written their own as well!

When she is old enough of course!

I love the name Scooby Snack. If I ever get a cat I'm stealing it. My son is allergic so I probably won't for a while but too cute.

I like Fargo. It's a nice city without being too city-ish.

I like the name scooby snack too!

Sorry to hear you lost some friends. That always sucks, even if you are better off without them.

Glad to see you blogging again X.
